Introduction

Joy Subscriptions connects with AOV.ai Bundles Upsell so you can offer volume discounts and subscriptions together on the same product. Instead of asking customers to choose between buying more or subscribing, they can do both: pick a bundle quantity and subscribe at their preferred frequency in a single step.

This works best for consumable products that customers buy in bulk and reorder regularly, such as supplements, pet food, coffee, or household essentials. You raise average order value with the bundle and lock in predictable recurring revenue with the subscription.

Which widget shows on a product page

When both apps are active, the widget shown on a product page depends on how that product is set up. You do not need to switch anything per product, it is automatic.

• Volume bundle and subscription. If a product has both a bundle offer (from AOV.ai) and a subscription plan (from Joy Subscriptions), the AOV.ai widget takes over and shows the bundle quantities and the subscription option together.
• Subscription only. If a product has a subscription plan but no bundle offer, the usual Joy Subscriptions widget is shown.

What your customers see

On a product that has both a bundle and a subscription, the widget shows:

• Volume options. Quantity tiers such as Buy 1, Buy 2, and Buy 3, each with its own price and discount. You choose the quantities, discounts, and labels.
• A default option. One tier is pre-selected when the page loads, so customers see your recommended choice first. You decide which tier is the default.
• Subscribe and Save. Customers can pick a one-time purchase or a subscription. The subscription option shows the saving and a delivery frequency they can choose.
• Variant pricing. If the product has variants (for example Size or Color), customers pick a variant and the prices update to match.
• An optional gift. If you attach a gift to a tier, it appears with that option to make the offer more attractive.
